Events/Activities

• AEIC co-sponsored (with ILSI and AACC) and participated in training workshops on detection methods for biotechnology around the world in 2005-2006 (including India, Korea, China, Brazil and Argentina).
  
• AEIC co-sponsored, with USDA/GIPSA, a workshop entitled "Grain Biotechnology Methods Validation Workshop" in February, 2000.
  
  
• AEIC presented an immunochemical analytical methods workshop for the EPA-OPPTS in October, 1998 in Arlington, VA.
  
  
• AEIC has worked with the EPA to develop validation guidelines for environmental applications of immunochemical methods for use in studies to support pesticide registration.
  
  
• AEIC members have worked towards establishing voluntary performance standards for immunoassay kits. Items such as standardized kit package inserts, source of calibrators and guidelines for user quality control have been addressed.
  
  
• AEIC co-hosted a meeting, with the Society for Food and Agricultural Immunology, in September, 1997 in New Hampshire.
  
  
• AEIC has provided and will continue to provide, speakers for other organizations which are working to increase their understanding of immunochemical methods.
